Incredible achievement.

Being awake for 24 hours is tough enough let along cycling for 16 hours of it, and the rest fueling up.

Well done everyone involved – 5 mightily cyclists and 2 hard working on support.

Good luck to the 5 lads heading across the country tomorrow. Garry, Philip, Chairperson Peter, Mikey and organiser Mark. 5 of the strongest endurance riders in the club.

250 miles and being out on the road for the bulk of the day will be some achievement.

The exact route for the 30th March will probably depend on the weather and wind, but plenty of choices.

Likely to include one or two climbs. The Cairn (prob the most iconic climb) is closed to cars just now as a lorry damaged a bridge – but passable by bike.

Meeting at the Premier Inn, Portlethen for a 9-9.30pm start.

I will be at the football on the Saturday. It’s sold out, so nae joy apart from Gassman who has a ticket.

We can look again once we know possible weather at the end of March, but good to see plenty of interest. A couple local lads would prob join us as well.

Chris – no obvious campsite in Portlethen but Stonehaven is 7 miles away by the main road (but if you’re thinking of cycling it’s 10 rolling miles).

I am 141 on reserve list and likely to take campervan if I get in.
